As an author and illustrator, my approach is always rooted in cultural dissemination. I strive to present often-overlooked cultural aspects in an engaging, lighthearted, and accessible manner, ensuring that complex subjects remain enjoyable and easy to understand.
This philosophy guided me in writing two travel-oriented graphic novels inspired by countries I have visited and deeply loved: Iceland and Japan.
My title on Iceland was the first book in the history of Italian literature written by a female Italian author attempting to explain Iceland. Upon its release, it reached number one in the “Books” section on Amazon and has sold over 2,000 copies. In Iceland, I explored the country’s ecological conflicts and its vast cultural legacy, highlighting the medieval Eddas—a cornerstone of European literature.
In Japan, I began by exploring the ancient history of female samurai, delving into the nation’s rich yet globally underrecognized feminist history, and tracing its evolution from these early warriors to the present day. Throughout both works, my aim was to inform, entertain, and invite readers to discover cultural dimensions often left unexplored.
